South Korean actress Song Ji-hyo expanded into business last year by launching her own lingerie brand—even stepping up to serve as her own brand model. She recently put her tone and curves on full display in three different lingerie sets in black, green, and red. However, with minimal retouching on her lower abdomen and shadows, her natural stomach line was fully visible, prompting some netizens to snark, "I thought her belly was sticking out!" and sparking heated online debate.
On the 29th, Song Ji-hyo shared several photos via the brand’s official Instagram. Wearing a bra top and matching bottoms, she faced the camera directly, showing off the fit in a completely natural stance. At 45 years old, her figure remains undeniably sizzling—her porcelain skin and toned waist line revealing a sultry charm very different from her usual on-screen persona.
However, in a few shots, the angle and lighting made her lower abdomen appear slightly rounded, immediately making it a focal point for discussion. Some commenters noted, "At first glance, I thought her tummy was showing," "It’s probably just shadows," and "Did the brand release these completely unedited?" Meanwhile, a wave of supporters came to her defense, pointing out that human bodies naturally have folds and curves: "A real body is far more convincing," "Props to her for sharing unedited photos—that takes real confidence," and "This is way more trustworthy than photoshop that doesn't even look human."
In fact, after launching her lingerie line last year, Song Ji-hyo candidly admitted on a show that initial sales were lower than expected. But once she began modeling her own products, the brand gained traction, boosting sales and eventually leading to the launch of a global online store.
