At 57, Cindy Crawford Is Still Serving Up the Very Best Beauty Looks

One of the original ’90s supermodels, Cindy Crawford’s face has graced countless magazine covers, campaigns, and runways in her 30-plus years in the fashion industry. Her sun-kissed brunette mane, striking brows, and beauty spot have long made her the kind of beauty on whom all manner of make-up and hair looks shine, although her signature is natural, fresh skin and a defined eye.

That said, bold red lipstick was her go-to for an evening out in her twenties and thirties, when she dabbled in full glamour—think voluminous blow dries, diamonds and a killer stare. She’s always been faithful to glowing, bronzed skin, but Crawford has upped the ante in the luminosity department in recent years, adding metallic eyeshadows and dewy base products into her beauty arsenal. Her daughter, Kaia Gerber, has inherited her easy, low-maintenance approach to beauty and the two are often compared, which is no surprise given that Kaia is the spitting image of her mother when she was younger.

When asked last year by British Vogue what the secret to taking a perfect selfie was, the supermodel delivered the rather fabulous response: “Honey, I’ve been modeling for 30 years.” As she graces Vogue’s September cover alongside her fellow supers, see some of the highlights from her three decades in front of the camera, below.

Former ‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Opens Up About Being “Cancelled” After Making Racially Insensitive Statement: “It Was Hell For Two Years”

Mackenzie McKee says she had some very dark days after she made a racially insensitive statement on Facebook about Vice President Kamala Harris. The comment contributed to her being let go from her job on Teen Mom OG and sent her life into a downward spiral.

“It was hell for two years,” Mackenzie said during a recent interview with the Sarasota SpeaX podcast. “My business [Body By Mac] went under. Every day was emails and messages like, ‘I can’t believe I prayed for your mom. She probably taught you this, I’m so glad she’s dead. You need to be cancelled.'”

As The Ashley reported at the time, Mackenzie made a statement in January 2021 on her private Facebook page about Vice President Kamala Harris.

“It blows my mind that out of all the amazing colored women in this world, that is the one who is making history,” she wrote.

Once word got around The Interwebs that Mackenzie had used the term “colored,” Mackenzie was criticized harshly. However, she later insisted— and still insists— that she was unaware that the term ‘colored’ was racist.

“I meant to say ‘amazing woman of color and I said ‘amazing colored woman,’” Mackenzie said in an Instagram Live video made a few months later.

In the same video, Mackenzie claimed the producers used her as a pawn to talk about racism, stating that they also required her to go through weeks of “training” for her apology.

“Basically to stay on the show, they wanted me to do a thing where a [Black Lives Matter] organization educates me,” Mackenzie said. “That was the agreement to stay on the show. For a month I was trained on how to say sorry.”

“I was on these phone calls [with BLM organizations], hours and hours. I’d film one thing, it wasn’t good enough,” she said. “I took three weeks off work to be trained on the right thing to say to fit MTV’s agenda.”

Despite all the training, Mackenzie was let go from ‘Teen Mom OG.’ (Technically, she was never informed that she was “fired”; she was simply not called to film again.)

HK Star Rain Li Uses Hermès Birkin Bag As Dog Carrier

Recently, Hong Kong actress Rain Li, 39, shared on Xiao Hong Shu a selfie she'd taken with her puppy Creamy. In the photo, Creamy was sitting in not a dog carrier but an Hermès Birkin Shadow bag which costs about HK$400K (S$68.8K).

The Birkin Shadow was introduced in 2009 when French fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier was Hermès' creative director. The super rare bag, which gives the optical illusion on whether the front straps and flaps are real or not, was reintroduced into the market with limited pieces in 2019. It is just one of the many Hermès bags Rain owns. When she acted in 2022 Hong Kong drama Modern Dynasty, she used her own HK$200K (S$34K) black Hermès Birkin on the show.

She also has a HK$150K (S$26K) Hermès Kelly Pochette, a HK$140K (S$24K) Hermès Kelly Danse and an Hermès Quelle Idole bag (aka Kelly Doll bag) which has a resale value of HK$1.5mil (S$258K). We're not exactly surprised by Rain's Hermès bag collection given how she has a HK$200mil (S$34mil) net worth. The actress, who joined showbiz in 2006, is said to be a really good investor when it comes to real estate. According to reports, Rain now has 12 properties, which are worth more than HK$100mil (S$17.2mil) in total, in places like Hong Kong, Australia, the UK, and Thailand.

Why Did Korean Star Lee Seung Gi Choose Tasha Low As The Local Female Celeb He Wants To Work With?

Korean star Lee Seung Gi, 36, was recently in town for his Asia Tour, where he met #JustSwipeLah host, Seow Sin Nee for a chat. There, the very sporting multi-hyphenate played a short game, where he had to pick local celebs to work with purely based on pictures presented to him.

He was first shown pictures of three female actresses, Fann Wong, Carrie Wong, and Tasha Low, and asked whom he wished to collaborate with most. His choice? Tasha Low (who happens to speak Korean!) His reason? “Romantic comedies and melodramas are coming back as a trend”. Hmm, what’s he saying about Fann and Carrie?

Of the three male actors he saw - Christopher Lee, Zhu Houren, and Zhang Zetong, Seung Gi knew that his choice was going to be Chris “at first sight”. “He has the facial features and aura of the [type of] actor that I like,” said the star.

Seung Gi was then shown pics of Mark Lee, Quan Yifeng and Das DD, and asked to pick the host he wanted to work with. After pondering for a moment, Seung Gi picked Yifeng, “purely by feeling”. He then elaborated on his reasons for choosing Yifeng, saying that her “aura” reminded him of Korean host, Kang Ho Dong, with whom he’s known to have a close relationship.

Lastly, Seung Gi was asked to choose between three local musicians: JJ Lin, Stefanie Sun, and Shigga Shay. The other musicians stood no chance, for Seung Gi already knew about JJ. “I love [JJ Lin’s] song. He is great at playing the piano [and] he sings sentimental ballads that I love. If there is a chance, I want to collaborate and work on music with him,” gushed the JJ fan.
